Jason Kotecki, known as “The Champion of Childhood,” is an artist, author and speaker, as well as the creator of the internationally known comic strip, Kim & Jason. He is widely regarded as an expert in helping people to “escape adulthood” and “return to childhood.”

His book, Escape Adulthood: 8 Secrets from Childhood for the Stressed-Out Grown-Up, outlines simple ways for adults of all ages to reconnect with the qualities that come naturally to children in order to reduce stress and live more fun and fulfilling lives.

Annalynn Skipper & Associates

Annalynn Skipper is the current President and Chief of ADA’s Nutrition Care Manual and owner of Annalynn Skipper and Associates. Serving as an expert registered dietitian dedicated to advancing nutrition practice, she carries over 25 years experience in clinical nutrition in acute and long term care settings and over thirty years as a member of the American Dietetic Association.

Annalynn’s goal is to provide consulting, mentoring and resources to other dietitians and the organizations that employ them. Her specialties include, but are not limited to: evidence-based nutrition practice, the nutrition care process, nutrition intervention and efficacy, scope and standards of nutrition practice, as well as expert legal case review.

Chef Steven Lawhorn, CDM, CFPP

Steven Lawhorn is a Certified Food Preparation Professional and Certified Dietary Manager

Dynamic, creative, innovative, results-driven food industry veteran with a strong knowledge of all aspects of restaurant operations. Successful at developing operational strategies that lead to increased profit and sales. Focused, detail-oriented and hardworking with an ability to accomplish corporate busines strategies. Steven is a Certified Food Preparation Professional (CFPP) and expert at maintain kitchen sanitation, food preparation and storage, resulting in no health code violations. He is a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and currently serves as the Director of Food and Nutrition at Resurrection Health Care in Glenview, Illinois.


Ron JasniowskiRon Jasniowski

Ron Jasniowski has seventeen years of management experience, is a nationally known speaker/trainer and is the founder of Integrity Training Institute. After selling his first business, on took a two-year sabbatical to develop a character-based leadership model. This model consistently produces results for healthcare leaders within months. Ron researches and customizes for each audience and understands their greatest challenges. He now specializes in helping healthcare leaders bring out the best in people and keep them. Because these presentations are so effective in addressing the greatest needs of managers today, outstanding evaluations are guaranteed.

Mary Wassel, RN

Mary Wassel has twenty-one years of Long Term Care experience in reviewing and assessing the quality of health care provided in Medicare/Medicaid certified facilities in Region V. Skilled in Long Term Care Regulations, Appendix Q and Principles of Documentation. Mary attended the Federal Basic Long Term Surveyor Training and successfully passed the Surveyor Minimum Qualification Tests, parts A and B. She has served as Training Director for ISDH, providing training for all new LTC Surveyors, as well as Region V- State leader conducting Medicare surveys. Currently, she works for the Department of Health and Human Services in Chicago’s Division of Survey and Certification, as a Health Quality Review Specialist and Team Leader.
